Job summary

Grand River Personnel is recruiting an experienced Industrial Mixer for a food manufacturing facility in Kitchener. This is a current vacancy for someone with food production, mixing, baking, or manufacturing experience who can handle large quantities and follow precise production procedures.

Pay rate is $18.50/hr, with an increase to $18.75 after 240 hours, plus 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly; shift availability is afternoon, 3pm-11pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production, baking, or industrial mixing.
• Strong basic math skills for measuring ingredients.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, specifications and codes.
• Basic computer skills and good communication in English.
• Must wear CSA-approved safety footwear and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and prep large quantities of ingredients for cracker production.
• Operate industrial mixers, blenders, and related equipment.
• Follow work orders, recipes, and production procedures.
• Monitor materials and notify when supplies are needed.
• Inspect ingredients and finished mixes for quality and requirements.
• Assist with packing and other production duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures.

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting an experienced Industrial Mixer for a food manufacturing facility in KITCHENER.

This is a current vacancy and an excellent opportunity for someone with food production, mixing, baking, or manufacturing experience who is comfortable working with large quantities of ingredients and following precise production procedures.

Students are not eligible for this position. Only candidates with relevant experience will be contacted.

Shift Availability: Afternoon shift, 3pm-11pm

Job Duties

• Accurately measure and prepare large quantities of ingredients for cracker production
• Operate industrial mixers, blenders, and related production equipment
• Follow work orders, product specifications, recipes, and established production procedures
• Monitor raw materials and ingredient levels and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished
• Inspect ingredients and finished mixes to ensure production requirements are being met
• Assist with packing and other production duties as required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in food production, baking, industrial mixing, or a similar manufacturing environment
• Strong basic math skills with the ability to accurately measure ingredients
• Ability to read and follow work orders, product specifications, and product codes
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow established procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable and dependable with good attendance
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs.) repeatedly throughout the shift
• Must have CSA-approved safety footwear
• Must be available for day, afternoon, and/or night shifts
