Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc.’s Young-Davidson site in Ontario seeks an Instrumentation Technician to maintain HVAC and instrumentation systems, troubleshoot issues, and support process control across mining operations. The role reports to the Instrumentation Supervisor and emphasizes safety and teamwork in a 12-hour shift schedule.

Candidates should have post-secondary education in instrumentation or related fields and hands-on experience with HVAC, DCS, and PLC systems.

Qualifications

Completion of post-secondary education in Instrumentation or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in field maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, natural gas, DCS, or PLC systems.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

HVAC Maintenance & Repair: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair on-site HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Instrumentation Services: Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot process control instrumentation.
Automation & Controls: Support installation and maintenance of automated valves, indicators, and meters.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify programming and performance issues in instrumentation, DCS, PLC systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on instrumentation and mechanical equipment.
Field Installation: Run cables, terminate devices, and install equipment per site standards.
Team Collaboration: Work with operations and maintenance teams under supervision.
