Job summary

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Site Electrician at the Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. The Electrician reports to the Mine Electrical Supervisor and performs preventative maintenance, inspections, services, and repairs to site equipment in a shop or field environment.

The role operates on a 7x7, 12-hour shift schedule (Day/Night). Candidates must hold BC Red Seal certification, possess a valid driver’s license, and comply with safety requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Electrician certification is required.
• 3+ years mining industry experience preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Experience with Komatsu equipment is a plus.
• Air Brake endorsement is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, services, and repairs to electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems using test equipment.
• Direct and train apprentices in electrical work.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and SOPs.
