Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. in Canada seeks experienced Electrician Journeypersons for the BHP Wet Mill project at Leroy, Saskatchewan. You will contribute to electrical installations, read blueprints, assemble control panels, and ensure safe, compliant workmanship on a major industrial site.

The role requires a RED SEAL, CSTS-20, fall protection and MEWP certs, ability to lift 25 kg, and a collaborative, safety‑driven approach. Camp accommodations are provided; schedule is 14x7 with hourly pay of CAD 50.

Qualifications

• Posess a valid RED SEAL Journeyperson ticket.
• Have CSTS-20 certificate.
• Fall Protection certification (in class).
• MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) certification (in class).
• Industrial electrician experience on construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg and work in all weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Install cable trays, conduit, and terminate cables; install equipment and control devices.
• Fabricate control panels and perform wiring check-outs.
• Layout circuits, set up breaker panels, install lights and electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and trade practices.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment for safe operation.
• Pull wires through conduits and trays.
• Read drawings and diagrams to determine wiring layouts.
• Splice and connect wires to fixtures to form circuits.
• Install supports for electrical equipment and lighting fixtures.
• Test circuit continuity and perform repairs per guidelines.
• Mentor apprentices and oversee safety.
