Job summary

Big Country Equipment Repair seeks an experienced Automotive Service Technician for field service on a mine-site fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain light-duty vehicles using company-provided tools, with a 14-day on/14-day off rotation.

Requirements include 3+ years of diagnostic experience, preferred Red Seal certification, and ability to work safely on active mine sites. Training and references are required.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, steering, engines, suspension, braking, transmission, and drivetrain systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing light-duty fleet vehicles in mining, industrial, or construction environments.
• A valid provincial trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician is preferred.
• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair light-duty vehicles operating on mine sites.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on pickup trucks and service vehicles used in mining operations.
• Prepare accurate and detailed service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and mine-site safety standards.
