Qualifications

  • Journeyman certification with Red Seal preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair light-duty fleet vehicles.
  • Valid Class 5 license and site access requirements.
  • Experience in industrial/mining site operations is a plus.

We’re seeking a skilled technician to join our Fort McMurray operations, maintaining and repairing a fleet of light-duty vehicles that play a critical role in supporting site activities.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair a fleet of light-duty vehicles in a safe, efficient, and production-focused environment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and hands-on trade expertise.
  • Complete mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance repairs while ensuring quality workmanship and equipment reliability.
  • Manage work orders, service documentation, parts requirements, and repair records through electronic maintenance systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and the maintenance team to source parts, resolve equipment issues, and support overall site operations.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification (Interprovincial Red Seal preferred) with strong diagnostic and repair expertise.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop or site environment, supported by a complete set of personal tools.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliable service delivery.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and the ability to meet site access requirements, including drug and alcohol testing and OSSA BSO or CSTS certification.
  • Previous experience supporting industrial, mining, or Fort McMurray site operations is considered a strong asset.
Work Conditions
