Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Coordinator, Training, Mine Operations in British Columbia to develop and deliver training programs for operational excellence and workforce competency in Mine Operations.

The role blends classroom, simulator, computer-based, and field training, ensuring records meet site and business requirements. A strong communicator with a passion for employee development and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of open-pit mining experience.
• Experience operating and training on Caterpillar D10/D11 Dozers.
• Experience operating Caterpillar Graders.
• Experience operating Komatsu 830E and 930E Haul Trucks.
• Experience delivering workplace training and competency development.
• Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Promote and support EVR's health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate and deliver technical, operational, and developmental training programs.
• Facilitate classroom, simulator, computer-based, and hands-on equipment training.
• Develop, maintain, and update training materials, lesson plans, and competency assessments.
• Deliver training aligned with standard operating procedures, safe work practices, and OEM requirements.
• Assess training needs and recommend learning solutions to support business priorities.
• Develop and revise standard practices and procedures in alignment with site and regional standards.
• Maintain accurate training schedules, records, and documentation.
