Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) seeks a Mine Operations Supervisor to oversee a crew in a 4x4 day/night shift in British Columbia. You will lead safety-focused operations, coordinate with engineers and maintenance, and drive continuous improvement to meet production targets.

You will supervise open pit mining activities while enforcing health and safety regulations and supporting relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with personnel at all levels.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.
• Experience leading operations in open pit mining and enforcing policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower the crew to achieve operating targets with safe practices.
• Mentor team members to improve performance and efficiency.
• Manage trucks, shovels, drilling, and blasting to optimize production and costs.
• Administer the collective agreement and ensure compliance with safety and reclamation codes.
• Coordinate with engineers and maintenance to align mining activities.
