Job summary

Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mine Operations Labourer to join our team in Geraldton, Ontario. You will report to the Mine Operations Supervisor and perform a range of labour tasks around the mine site, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role requires ability to operate light vehicles, use basic tools, and follow work instructions in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative, safety-first mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a mining or industrial setting.
• Heavy equipment operator training or related experience is an asset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ontario Surface Common Core training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate a light vehicle of up to a 1-ton truck to travel to and between different work areas in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures.
• Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
• Perform Field Level Risk Assessments.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping of the vehicle and work areas while performing various tasks.
• Conduct pre-operational checks of the light vehicles, and other support equipment such light plants and pumps.
• Complete logbooks and daily reports on delays.
• Use two-way-radio, hand, and horn signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety.

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with five operating mines in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.

Job Summary
