Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Service Technician (Millwright) for our Surrey, BC shop to repair, diagnose and maintain heavy-duty pumps and motors. You will balance shop duty with occasional field visits, reporting to the Shop Supervisor, while ensuring safety and craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate holds a Journeyman Millwright ticket with 5+ years of hands-on experience in pumps and motors, and is comfortable working with process fluids.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Red Seal / Journeyman Millwright ticket.
• Minimum 5+ years of trade experience with pumps and industrial motors.
• Must have strong English communication skills for client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild, align, overhaul, and service industrial pumps, motors and drives.
• Troubleshoot mechanical defects in shop and perform safe rigging and slinging.
• Make field visits to evaluate machinery, assist setups and turnarounds.
• Perform rigorous operational trials and quality checks on overhauls.
• Support inside sales, coordinate workflows and service desks as needed.
• Adhere strictly to plant safety standards including handling hazardous materials.
• Manage fleet service trucks and shop material handling equipment.
