Job summary

Dare Foods in Milton, Ontario, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright for the night shift (Sun-Thu, 10:30pm–6:30am). The role focuses on safe operation, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement of plant equipment in a food production environment.

The ideal candidate has 433A Millwright license and 3–5 years of maintenance experience, with strong problem-solving ability and excellent teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of equipment and processes within scope of job; certified in use of required equipment.
• Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical problems.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights with ladders/scissor-lifts.
• Experience in fast-paced team environments in maintenance, preferably food-related.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety regulations and maintain a safe plant environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and update drawings/documentation as required.
• Complete records and reports and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain and install mechanical equipment per engineering drawings and specs.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment and troubleshoot from sketches or instructions.

Job description

Shift: Night shift Sunday- Thursday ( 10:30pm to 6:30am). Full Time benefits

Pay Rate: $44.05/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Must participate and work within safety regulations and guidelines while maintaining a safe work environment for all plant employees
• Must possess excellent Communication skills
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Completes records and reports
• Updates drawing and documentation as required
• Participates in continuous improvement
• Maintain repair and install mechanical and mechanically related equipment within the plant
• Assembles, disassemble, modify mechanical equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents and verbal instruction needed to perform assigned duties

Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of equipment and processes within scope of job. Certified in use of all required equipment
• Skilled in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical equipment problems
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet using Scissor-lifts and ladders
• Working knowledge of lathe, milling machine, grinder and hand tools
• Working knowledge of MIG/TIG welding
• Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced team environment
• Must have good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
• Must be physically fit
• Problem solving, job task planning and organizing, continuous learning and improvement
• experience working in a food related environment in a maintenance capacity
• 433A Industrial Millwright license
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a maintenance role is an asset
