Job summary

University of Waterloo seeks a Mechanic I – Millwright to maintain campus HVAC, pumps and piping systems. You will inspect, repair and balance rotating equipment, align belts and read technical drawings.

With at least five years of millwright experience, you will coordinate with the supervisor, document maintenance activity and uphold safety standards in a large institutional setting.

Qualifications

• Must have Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of Apprenticeship and Provincial Certificate of Qualification required.
• 5 years of millwright experience in HVAC, piping and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair campus HVAC, pumps and piping systems.
• Read drawings and technical docs to plan maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate work with supervisor and other staff.
• Document activities and assist with safety compliance.
