Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting a Millwright Journeyperson to join Heartland Constructors for the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort McKay, Alberta. Charter flights from Calgary/Edmonton are provided; workers stay at the Wapasu camp with meals, lodging and facilities.

Responsibilities include reading diagrams, rigging, alignment, testing, hydraulic/pneumatic system service, and possible welding and fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

• Millwright Journeyperson Certification or Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
• Align and test equipment and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform predictive and operational procedures.
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• May perform tack welding and fabrication as required, and maintain an inventory of replacement parts.

Jardeg is recruiting Millwright Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi and much more!

Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
• Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
• Perform predictive and operational procedures
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a journeyperson welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.

• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Standard First Aid (Level A or C)
