Job summary

AltaGas Ltd. is seeking a Millwright/Heavy-Duty Mechanic to support maintenance at the RIPET Facility in Prince Rupert, BC. The role focuses on rotating equipment, repairs, and reliability initiatives under the Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator.

Responsibilities include using Maximo, coordinating service providers, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. The candidate should bring Red Seal Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification and 5+ years of industrial maintenance

Qualifications

Red Seal Journeyman Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification.
5+ years of mechanical maintenance in industrial settings.
Experience with rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
Experience with Maximo and maintenance planning.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong safety awareness and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Test, troubleshoot, and repair site mechanical equipment (compressors, pumps, piping, bearings, valves, motors).
Utilize Maximo Maintenance software to full capabilities.
Coordinate suppliers and service providers.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at the RIPET Facility.
Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Maintain plant and warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Support purchasing of maintenance parts and equipment.
