Job description

Industrial Maintenance Millwright Apprentice

Location: Stratford, ON (On-site)

Salary Range: $32.81–$41.38 per hour

Shift: Straight afternoon/nights or continental night shifts

Responsibilities
  • Assist in installing, inspecting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments.
  • Operate lifting and hoisting equipment to position machinery and parts.
  • Fabricate components using machine tools such as lathes and grinders.
  • Assist in assembling machinery and supporting equipment installation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop.
  • Communicate effectively between shifts and with team members.
  • Follow and support all Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, CI, etc.).
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or completion of the trade school portion of a Millwright apprenticeship.
  • Willingness to complete required internal training programs.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and industrial environments.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or welding.
  • Hands‑on experience in manufacturing or maintenance environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
