Job description

Are you a Millwright Apprentice available for a fantastic permanent long-term career in Calgary? Then we want to hear from you!

Agilus is recruiting for a Millwright Apprentice in the industrial supply services industry in Calgary, Alberta. The 2nd/3rd/4th year Millwright Apprentice is responsible for repairing equipment such as airless, lower pressure, finishing powder coating machines, etc. The ideal candidate has a curiosity to learn and grow with the company, with a strong "mechanical repair" aptitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Repairs or replacements of mechanical components & machinery
2. Alignment of pumps and motors
3. Rigging and slinging
4. Troubleshooting mechanical machinery
5. Performing work related to the installation/commissioning
6. Testing and inspection of equipment, as well as providing inside sales, administrative support, and backup to customer service

Requirements:

1. Experience repairing finishing products
2. Ability to work in an environment with chemicals and solvents
3. Mechanically inclined, familiar with hand/power tools and repair methodologies
4. Experience working with some or all of the following: Electric motors, Transformers, Switchgears, Industrial motors, Rotors, Shafts, Bearings, Coils, Armatures, Generators, Switches
5. Great customer service and communication skills to interact with clients
6. Willingness to learn and grow
