Job summary

Canadian Kraft Paper seeks a Millwright/4th year Apprentice for The Pas to maintain and repair production equipment in a dynamic Kraft Paper plant. The role contributes to reliability and safety within a unionized environment, with a starting wage per the collective agreement.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaborating with a team to ensure continuous operation of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and hydraulics.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification.
  • Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to assemble equipment and follow work procedures & processes.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and safety record.

Responsibilities

  • Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a production environment.
  • Maintaining pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, gearboxes, bearings and hydraulics involved in the manufacturing process of Kraft Paper.
  • Working as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including disassembling and reassembling machinery and overhauling equipment, etc.
  • Maintaining a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment.
  • Performing work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards and quality checks.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing in this role:

Qualifications

What we’re looking for from you:

·Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification

·Proven mechanical and trouble shooting skills

·An asset to have 3 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance

·Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to assemble equipment and follow work procedures & processes

·Ability to work independently and take initiative

·Strong work ethic and safety record

This is a unionized position. The starting wage is $46.48 hourly as per the Collective Agreement with full certication.
