Job summary

Marwood International Inc. is seeking a part-time Millwright in Tillsonburg, Ontario. The role involves assembling, installing and maintaining industrial machinery, with responsibilities including welding and reading blueprints. The position offers health benefits, a pension plan, and overtime after 40 hours within a safety-focused team environment.

The shift is rotating: Mon-Thurs 6a-4p and 4p-2a with weekends Fri-Sun 6a-6p. A recognized Millwright license and a Grade 12 diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or GED.
• Recognized Millwright License (C of Q).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, align, maintain and repair machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot irregularities and replace parts.
• Set up and operate welding equipment (arc, MIG, TIG, plasma and gas).
• Weld, cut and machine components; read blueprints and manuals.
• Operate hand and power tools; use larger machine tools when needed.
• Hoist and position machines with cranes and forklifts.
• Complete preventive maintenance and CIFs; report to Maintenance Group Leader.
• Complete maintenance requests and other duties as required.

Responsibilities:

Industrial mechanics (millwrights) are responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting, dismantling and moving machinery and equipmentTroubleshooting may include diagnosing irregularities and malfunctions, making adjustments, and repairing or replacing partsCleaning, adjusting and lubricating machinery are also important maintenance tasks of the tradeSet up and operate welding equipment including arc, MIG, TIG, plasma and gasWelding, cutting and machining as Industrial mechanics (millwrights) may prepare bases for equipmentBlueprints, diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals assist industrial mechanics (millwrights) in determining work proceduresOperate hand and power tools in installation and repair Larger machine tools such as lathes, drill presses and grinders may be used in fabrication of machine partsHoisting and lifting equipment such as cranes, jacks and forklifts is commonly used to position large machines or machine partsComplete preventative maintenance as required on machinery/equipmentTooling fabrication for fixtures or welding cells to replace broken or worn toolingService and program robotic welders either by writing a program or re-teaching a set programReport on work performed and time spent to Maintenance Group Leader or designateComplete maintenance work requests, CIF's as requiredAll other relevant duties
