Job summary

Ebco Industries, Ltd. (Ebco) in Richmond, BC, is seeking an Industrial Millwright to maintain and repair heavy machinery across the plant, ensuring safe and reliable operation in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of ticketed Millwright experience; Red Seal is preferred and forklift operation (diesel/propane) is required. Lifting up to 50 lbs and possible overtime/weekend shifts are expected.

Summary:

As an Industrial Millwright, your role is critical to the reputation that Ebco has built for delivering world-class quality manufacturing, and repair & rebuild services to projects based domestically and worldwide. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all machinery in the plant.

What You'll Do:

• Working on and assembling large machinery and various other equipment.
• Troubleshooting difficult repairs and installations to ensure a timely repair or set up of machinery and equipment.
• Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions.
• Performing standard maintenance on large overhead cranes.
• Experience on diesel, engine and propane powered forklifts is essential

What You'll Bring:

Technical Experience:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a ticketed Millwright
• Experience working on and assembling large machinery and equipment
• Red Seal endorsement is desired or the willingness to challenge for the red seal endorsement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot difficult repairs, troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
• Knowledge of machine gear boxes and repairs, as well as a variety of machining and fabrication equipment
• Perform standard maintenance on large overhead cranes.
• Knowledge of diesel, engine and propane powered forklifts is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Special Requirements:

• This is a physically demanding position requiring a person to lift or move 50 lbs.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderately noisy environment.
• Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current problems.
• Working at heights is required.
• Over time and some weekend work is required.

Salary : $45.06 - $46.21 / hour
