Job summary

PepsiCo in Mississauga is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to service and repair plant equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support electrical and mechanical activities on advanced manufacturing lines. Must hold a Certified Industrial Millwright Red Seal and be able to diagnose, repair, and install components, including welding, hydraulics, and PLCs.

Night shift with premium and full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Industrial Millwright Red Seal is required.
• Pass technical assessment addressing key maintenance knowledge areas.
• Experience with basic mechanical systems (chains, belts, bearings, etc.).
• Experience with electronics (level probes, flowmeters, VFDs).
• Experience reading and applying product manuals for repairs.
• Proficient with machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder).
• Experience with machine troubleshooting and diagnostics is expected.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot food production equipment with a focus on preventive maintenance.
• Welding, machining, ammonia refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, plastics manufacturing, material handling, PLCs.

Job description

Overview

The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment and mechanical systems within the Pepsi bottling and processing facility. This role involves inspecting equipment for proper operation and performing mechanical preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The successful candidate will support day‑to‑day electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, changeovers, and installations on advanced manufacturing and production equipment. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, performing complex repairs or adjustments, and providing mentorship and support to less‑experienced technicians as needed.

Compensation

• This is afull-time positionthat requires open availability Night Shift.
• $47.94 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities
• Shift: Night Shift
• Night shift premium - $1.65 per hour

• Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flowmeters, drives/VFDs, etc.).
• Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
• Must be skilled in the use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
• Experience with machine troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)

Experience with PLC is a plus.
