Job summary

Johnson Electric in Ancaster, Ontario is seeking a hands-on Electrician for full-time, permanent onsite work. You will ensure compliance with ISO standards and Johnson Electric policies while contributing to electrical power, distribution, controls and machine safety.

You will design, produce and document electrical systems, update schematics, select components, draft safety diagrams, and lay out panels and machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Johnson Electric policies.
• Design, production and documentation for electrical power, distribution systems, controls and machine safety.
• Create and maintain documentation for assembly lines; update electrical schematics for projects.
• Component selection and sizing; safety diagrams and panel/machine layout.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design; electrical automation system design.
• Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives; work with suppliers to specify components.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits; coordinate with controls technicians during PLC/robot setup.
