Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright ticket or Apprentice ID required.
• CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 site specific certification required.
• ESC Confined Space Entry Monitor certification required.
• Valid government-issued photo ID required.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on an industrial construction project.
• Read diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts.
• Align and test equipment and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform predictive and operational tasks and replace defective parts.

Responsibilities

• All general maintenance duties on our industrial construction project
• Read diagrams and schematic drawings, blue-prints, and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
• Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
• Perform predictive and operational procedures
• Repair and/or replace defective parts
• Maintain an inventory of replacement parts
• Prepare layout including material selection, sequence planning and methods of work
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards
• Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
• Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents
• Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required
• Other tasks and labor duties as required on the jobsite

Working Conditions

• Working at heights
• Working in a confined space
• Working in and around noise and dust
• Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
• Must be clean shaven
• Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
• Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
