Title/NOC: Millwright (NOC/TEER 72400)

Term: 2 years (project-based, time-limited position)

Number of Positions: 50

Language of Work: English

Wage: $51.00/hour (subject to change and increases by CLAC as per existing collective agreement)

Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off, or 5 days on, 2 days off; 10 hours per day shift rotation

Overtime: At 1.5 times the wage rate after 8 hours/day (as per collective agreement)

Locations: Edmonton and area, Fort McMurray, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Comprehend diagrams, schematic drawings, and manuals to determine work procedures
  2. Install turbines, pumps, vessels, and compressors
  3. Fit bearings, attach motors, and connect couplings with precision tolerances
  4. Use alignment and testing equipment for adjustments
  5. Understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic controls
  6. Perform tack welding, fabrication, and maintain parts inventory as needed
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  1. Must possess a Journeyperson Millwright certification with Red Seal
  2. Minimum of five years of experience on large industrial construction projects (over $100 million)
  3. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
