Description: Jardeg is recruiting a Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) Technician to join the SUNCOR Firebag maintenance team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a permanent position starting around May 22nd, 2025, with a 14 days on, 14 days off day shift schedule. Camp accommodation and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) are provided by the company. Successful candidates will need to undergo training with current onsite technicians until obtaining the PRD technician certification, which may take 6-12 months.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and repair PSVs, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Work closely with maintenance, operations, and reliability teams.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, safe manner.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Update drawings to as-built condition.
• Follow client policies and ISO 9001-2000 standards.
• Work at heights and climb as necessary.
• Communicate effectively in English, especially via radio.
• Hold a Journeyperson certification in a relevant trade (Instrumentation Technician, Pipefitter, Boilermaker, or Millwright).
• Have 1-3 years of practical experience working independently with valve operations.
• Experience in the oil sands is preferred.
• Complete required safety training (ESC, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Rigging, WHMIS 2015).
• Possess a valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Have Respiratory Protective Equipment training and pass pre-access drug and alcohol tests.
