Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel in Camrose, Alberta is seeking a skilled Millwright to repair, troubleshoot, and install machinery critical to our operations. You will interpret blueprints, work with maintenance teams, and uphold a safety-first environment on rotating days and nights.

The successful candidate will possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate (Alberta Journeyman also acceptable) and have experience in industrial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate or Alberta Journeyman Certificate.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is an asset.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (days & nights).
• Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects and wear.
• Determine best repair approach to minimize production interruption.
• Advise on immediate shutdowns when necessary to minimize damage.
• Dismantle, repair, install, and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Perform temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts with appropriate fits.
• Collaborate with repair crew during emergencies.

We’re seeking a full‑time Millwright who thrives on problem‑solving, can interpret blueprints and schematics with precision, and takes pride in maintaining and repairing essential equipment. • Receive instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done
• Inspects mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication
• Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production
• Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect
• Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles and lubricates mechanical equipment
• Adjusts equipment for proper operating characteristics
• Makes either temporary or permanent repairs
• Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, and shafts, involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits
• Works with repair crew as directed on emergency breakdowns

Requirements

• Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate or Alberta Journeyman Certificate
• Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is an asset
• Must be able to work rotating shifts (days & nights)
• Must successfully pass the pre‑employment screening process
