Job summary

InterPro Pipe and Steel Inc. is seeking a Millwright (Maintenance) to join our team in Alberta.

The successful candidate will inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain mechanical equipment across our major production area, following scheduled and emergency instructions. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for defects, determining repair methods to minimize downtime, and coordinating with the repair crew during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman certificate or Alberta Journeyman certificate is required.
• Industrial manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts (days & nights).
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in a major producing unit or assigned area.
• Receive instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair, installation and inspection work.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, or insufficient lubrication.
• Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize production interruption.
• Advise when immediate shutdown is necessary to minimize damage or when continued operation is safe.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Make temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts; apply press, sliding and running fits.
• Work with repair crew on emergency breakdowns.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Job Description and Responsibilities

We are looking for a millwright to join our InterPro Pipe and Steel team. They inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in a major producing unit or assigned area.

• Receive instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done.
• Inspects mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.

• Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
• Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles and lubricates mechanical equipment.
• adjusts equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Makes either temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assembles and aligns gears, bearings and shafts, involving the application of press, sliding and running fits.
• works with repair crew as directed on emergency breakdowns.
• other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate or Alberta Journeyman Certificate.
• Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is an asset.
• Must be able to workrotating shifts (days & nights).
• Must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process.

Compensation

• Union Role base wage: $52.58/hr
