Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. is seeking a full-time CNC Operator in Ontario, Stratford. You will set up and run CNC production processes, perform troubleshooting, and maintain quality of output in a climate-controlled environment.

Starting wages range from CAD 30.85 to CAD 35.87 per hour, with benefits beginning after 30 days, regular raises, and opportunities for advancement. Excellent housekeeping and 5S practices are emphasized.

• Basic problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Attention to quality and accuracy in work produced.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC production processes.
• Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
• Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment and record data in routers, IMS and production tracking systems.
• Train other operators as needed and may set up machines for others to operate.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC production processes.

• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
• Required to train other operators as needed.
• May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others to operate.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required duties.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.

Your Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 diploma
• Experience: Related milling experience or mechanical aptitude
