Job summary

Bourgault Industries is seeking an experienced welder to join our Saskatchewan shop. You will read drawings, assemble parts in fixtures, and produce welds in all positions using the provided tools to meet our quality standards.

You should have 1–2 years MIG welding experience and be capable of working independently with good communication and attention to detail. The role includes on-site work with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years MIG welding experience.
• Read blueprints to assemble parts in a fixture.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Use existing work orders, work instructions and department procedures to complete weldments to an approved quality standard.
• Read drawings in order to assemble parts in a fixture.
• Produce welds in all positions and use tooling provided to produce high-quality weldments.
• Follow the instructions of the supervisor to complete given tasks in preparation, tacking and welding.
• Use other hand power tools such as angle grinders, drills, die grinders and oxy acetylene torches as required to complete tasks.
• Detect minor defects in the parts being used or the completed component as well as minor defects in weld quality.
