Job summary

Advanced Flow Systems in British Columbia is seeking a Fabricator/Welder to fabricate metal parts from patterns, weld, and assemble components in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires reading blueprints, operating welding equipment (TIG, MIG, flux core), and supporting manufacturing targets with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will contribute to process improvements and collaborate with supervisors to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Fabrication Red Seal is preferred.
• 3+ years of fabrication/welding experience.
• Thorough knowledge of welding practices, fabrication techniques, and custom machinery or project work.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and shop instructions to meet specifications and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, installation knowledge, and basic layout skills.
• Proficiency with fabrication hand tools and shop equipment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• CWB certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG, and flux core welding to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Use templates and gauges to ensure accuracy of parts and joins.
• Safely operate cranes, rigging, and lift trucks.
• Complete required documentation and follow SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist with assembly, testing, shipping, and installation as needed.
