Job summary

Wissen Technology is seeking an experienced Middleware Integration Specialist (Associate/AVP) for a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite weekly. The candidate will manage large-scale web-based, multi-tier middleware platforms, ensure stability, and drive automation and observability across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role emphasizes strong incident management, collaboration with development and infrastructure teams, and opportunities for career growth within a fast-growing technology

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in middleware, integrations, or related domains.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem solving and incident management skills.
• Ability to act as liaison between support and development teams.

Role: Middleware Integration Specialist

Title: Associate/AVP

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Required Experience: 7+ years

Required Skills

You will:

• Be responsible for the stability and resilience of critical Settlements flows at involving diverse technologies hosted on on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Support systems and their end users, while splitting time between production support and project tasks aimed at improving the production environment.
• Apply technical and domain expertise to solve complex technical and business challenges.
• Act as a buffer between support and development teams to ensure problems are resolved within the Production Management team.
• Manage critical incidents using concise communication skills and keep key management and business stakeholders informed.
• Improve the performance, observability, scalability, and reliability of systems by working with Software Development and Infrastructure Engineering teams.
• Develop automated reliability solutions.
• Implement observability and telemetry systems for applications and APIs, providing data for SLIs, SLOs, and detailed metrics.
• Use automation to improve system management, increase operational velocity, maintain uptime, and mitigate risk.
• Contribute to improving the codebase in a growing area of the firm with significant potential for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support large-scale web-based n-tier applications and middleware platforms in secure environments.
• Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of applications and middleware platforms.
• Automate IT operations and configuration management using tools such as Ansible and Helm.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Artifactory, Flux, or similar tools.
• Support application and middleware deployments across cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS.
• Work with Docker/Podman containers and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Implement and maintain application security and hardening practices, including:
• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Authorization mechanisms
• Perform operational support and troubleshooting across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Work with RDBMS and SQL for basic operational and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to system architecture and application/middleware development activities.
• Support and manage Big Data platforms such as Hadoop and ELK Stack.
• Work with source control and continuous integration/continuous delivery processes.
