Job summary

Wissen Technology is seeking an AVP/VP to lead cloud and security initiatives across multi-region environments. The role requires 5+ years of experience and strong AWS expertise, with a focus on IAM, networking, IaC, and CSPM.

Job description

Title: AVP/VP

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Required Experience: 5+ years

Key Responsibilities

• Expertise in AWS IAM - IAM roles, policies, permission boundaries, IAM Identity Centre (SSO), federated identity, and least-privilege access controls across accounts
• Create, deploy, debug, and fix issues with AWS CloudFormation Stacks and StackSets across multi-account and multi-region environments
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / OpenTofu, CloudFormation, and related tooling
• Manage AWS Organisations where required — including SCPs, OUs, and account governance
• Own and manage core AWS Networking and Identity — VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, Security Groups, NACLs.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or other modern CI/CD solutions
• Build and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
• Apply Secure SDLC principles throughout the infrastructure and application delivery lifecycle
• Operate and improve Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tooling and processes
• Independently diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and security issues

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Expert-level experience with AWS CloudFormation, including Stacks, StackSets, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Hands-on production experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/OpenTofu and CloudFormation.
• Experience managing AWS Organizations, including multi-account environments, governance, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking concepts, including VPC, Transit Gateway (TGW), Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, Security Groups, and Network ACLs (NACLs).
• Experience with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), including roles, policies, permission boundaries, IAM Identity Center (SSO), and federated identity.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (Secure SDLC) practices and integrating security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and cloud security best practices.
• Strong scripting or programming skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages for automation and cloud operations.
