Job summary

Our Surrey-based civil engineering consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer to support municipal capital works and land development. You will manage civil design, coordinate with clients and agencies, and oversee MMCD-based tender packages and contracts.

You will contribute to full project lifecycles from design through approvals, tendering, construction and contract administration, while growing technical leadership and taking on greater responsibility.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of civil engineering experience focused on municipal engineering and/or land development.
• Eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC as a P.Eng. or P.L.Eng.
• Experience with MMCD-based design, tendering and contract documentation.
• Knowledge of sewer, watermain, roads, grading and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design and project management for municipal and land development projects.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, contractors, sub-consultants and outside agencies.
• Prepare engineering reports, studies and cost estimates.
• Prepare MMCD-based tender packages and contract documents.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and invoicing.
• Provide contract administration and oversee project delivery per MMCD requirements.
• Support civil infrastructure design involving sewer, watermain, roads, grading and stormwater management.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, municipalities and multidisciplinary teams.
