Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a senior Customs Operations leader to plan, manage, and direct a team of professionals. The role focuses on adapting processes to changing import/export regulations while ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, extensive Global Trade Services experience, and a track record in international logistics. Some travel is required; Québec bilingual capability is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
  • Global Trade Services - 6 years.
  • Progressive experience in International Logistics or Customs Brokerage including two years of management experience.
  • Qualifications from Revenue Canada, Customs & Excise or CSCB Qualification status required. US Customs qualification.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This is an interview position

Plan, manage and direct a team of customs professionals to ensure process, procedures and policies are modified in response to import/export regulatory changes in a timely and cost effective manner.

Ensures regulatory and operational compliance through research, ongoing audits and feedback.

Develops divisional and global clearance solutions for strategically selected industries, markets or specific customer requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

Global Trade Services - 6 years

  • Progressive experience in International Logistics or Customs Brokerage including two (2) years of management experience;
  • Qualifications from Revenue Canada, Customs & Excise or CSCB Qualification status required. Successful completion of the US Customs qualification

Global Trade Services - 2 years (Preferred)

Microsoft Excel - Intermediate

Microsoft Word - Intermediate

Microsoft Outlook - Intermediate

Microsoft Power Point - Intermediate

Knowledge of FedEx operations, systems policies and procedures

Must possess excellent knowledge of Canadian Customs and Customs Legislation

Previous background interfacing with Federal Government and Regulatory agencies - (Preferred)

Must currently be a member of FedEx management or EXCEL/LEAP endorsed

Some travel required

Les candidats seront également évalués selon : 1) leur relevé annuel de conduite ; 2) leur performance en entrevue ; et 3) leurs résultats aux évaluations de conduite administrées.
