Job summary

Worksite Safety Compliance Centre in Barrie, Ontario, seeks a Mobile Equipment Trainer and Working at Heights Instructor to deliver MEWP and height safety training. The role serves job seekers, the public, and construction industry members, with travel to nearby sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of training experience, MEWP operation, and a background in construction or fall hazards, plus a valid Ontario driver’s license and a passion for safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of training delivery experience (Working at Heights and MEWP preferred).
• Experience operating mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP).
• Background in construction management or other fall hazard-related industry.
• Health & safety experience/certification preferred.
• Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MEWP and Working at Heights training to job seekers and industry members.
• Evaluate participants through practical skills and written evaluations.
• Organize, file and submit participant records.
• Participate in instructor development workshops.
