As a Methods Technician working in the Alternative Projects Centre of Expertise (APEX) team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play an integral role in coordinating construction methods. Supporting our large-scale building and infrastructure projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you will ensure compliance, support design and development methods, and provide key technical support and insights during the proposal and estimating phases.

What You Will Do

• Participate with Methods coordinators and collaborate with the construction team to define site deployment methods;
• Produce site logistics and installation plans;
• Create phasing plans, including cycles for temporary structures, team and equipment definitions, and other method plans;
• Draft specifications for temporary structures;
• Develop detailed operating plans;
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of document production;
• Maintain communication and collaboration with team members;
• Perform tasks related to modeling and drawing production.

This role could be for you if you have

• A college diploma in civil engineering or equivalent experience with relevant training;
• Experience in design and/or construction, especially with temporary or civil engineering structures;
• Experience with non-standard structures and various materials is an asset;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, and Tekla is an asset;
• Strong technical knowledge;
• Interest in new technologies and a willingness to learn;
• Rigorous with a focus on accuracy, precision, and standards compliance.
