Job summary

Evolution Mining Red Lake seeks a Metallurgist to develop procedures that improve plant operations and gold recoveries, and to manage metallurgical accounting across the site. This role focuses on optimizing consumables usage through R&D and robust data analysis.

Based in Red Lake, Ontario, the position follows an 8 days on / 6 days off roster (10.5-hour days) with a competitive CAD salary and bonus structure, offering growth opportunities within Evolution's Discovery team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with and understand process systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop processing improvements and optimize gold recoveries.
• Set parameters for safe, cost-effective plant operation.
• Compile daily and monthly metallurgical balance sheets.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend improvements.
• Assist supervision of Met techs/refiners as needed.
• Involved in mill projects including installation/commissioning.
