About the role

The Operator Haulage is responsible for successfully completing all required training, and acquiring and demonstrating your capability to competently perform all required tasks in a safe manner in order to advance to Miner 4 at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The position will be on an 7/7 (12 – hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $90,535 to $122,489 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Perform duties with skills acquired as Mine Trainee and Miner 6.
• Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required licensing (e.g. scooptram, rock breaker, truck).
• Perform tasks as directed under the direction of supervisor.
• Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Comply with all safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As an Operator Haulage, you will possess a Secondary School Graduation Diploma and successfully completed all relevant Common Core training modules to be a Operator Haulage. It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• Ability to demonstrate competence to perform all skills acquired as Miner 6, with aptitude to progress to next level
• Good physical fitness with the ability to work in an underground environment
• Competent communication abilities
• Contribute to overall success of the team
• Flexible, and willing to work on a rotational shiftwork basis
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and interact with others
• Willing and able to follow instructions
• Hard working and conscientious
