Job summary

Dollar Tree in Dauphin, Manitoba is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You'll work with the Store Manager to guide a dynamic group of associates and deliver a positive shopping experience for the communities we serve.

The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight, with responsibilities across store functions, cleaning, and ensuring sales floor readiness. The ideal candidate has retail and management experience, strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
Process corporate directives related to store activities.
Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors.
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
