Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager II in Amherstburg to work alongside the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering a positive shopping experience.

You will focus on merchandising and freight processing, open/close procedures, asset protection, and adherence to safety guidelines. The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle frequent standing and walking.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers, associates and leaders.
• Assist Store Manager with: processing receipts/returns of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow, stocking merchandise, ensuring sales-floor effectiveness, and merchandising monthly Sales Planners.
