Job summary

RONA in Laval, QC seeks an in-store team member to assist customers, build and maintain product displays, and ensure planograms meet brand standards. You’ll greet shoppers, help locate items, and keep aisles tidy and accessible.

This role blends hands-on merchandising with daily customer service and teamwork to deliver a positive shopping experience. The position includes training, opportunities for advancement, and access to employee discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools safely.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple duties.
• Capable of moving heavy objects and using appropriate equipment.
• Forklift driving experience is an asset.
• Proficient with web-based programs for task management.
• Basic arithmetic skills for daily transactions and inventory checks.
• Willingness to work a 6am–3pm schedule, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and dismantle displays according to seasonal changes and stock levels.
• Ensure displays comply with planograms and visual standards.
• Shelve inventory above the bay and position price tags correctly; bring products forward as needed.
• Greet customers professionally and refer to in-store team for specialized advice.
• Maintain clean, accessible aisles and overall store presentation.
• Perform other tasks to ensure smooth store operations.

Your role:

• Assemble and dismantle displays according to seasonal changes, merchandise arrivals and stock levels
• Ensure that merchandise placed on displays complies with planograms and the company's visual presentation standards
• Ensure that available inventory above the bay is shelved, that all price tags are properly positioned, and that products are brought forward when needed
• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner and refer them to a member of the in-store team if they need specific advice
• Ensure cleanliness and convenience, so that products are accessible and customers can move easily through the aisles
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:

• Working knowledge of basic tools needed for the job, such as hand tools, drills, and saws (preferred)
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to move heavy objects using the appropriate equipment
• Experience in forklift driving (an asset)
• Ability to utilize web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks
• Ability to understand and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
• Available to work from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday
