Job summary

Brand Momentum is seeking an independent contractor merchandiser in Ottawa to manage in-store displays at a national level. This role requires traveling to retail locations on weekdays, with a starting rate of $19 CAD per hour for 13–15 hours per week.

You will work as part of a national sales and merchandising team, enjoying flexibility, variety, and a degree of independence while supporting Tops Tier CPG clients.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Able to stand for several hours at a time.
• Flexible to work on weekdays in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Make product displays look attractive to customers.
• Move products from storage and fill displays per planogram.
• Update seasonal displays and pricing.
• Place product orders.
• Execute account-specific initiatives (bookings, end caps, marketing programs).
• Collaborate with store personnel to identify opportunities to add value.
• Provide merchandising support: shelves, planograms, stock freshness, etc.
• Prepare and submit required reporting daily.

About the Position

Job Status: Open Position

We are currently looking for an independent contractor who is a detail-orientated Merchandiser to work at a retail location, for 13 to 15 hours per week on weekdays!

Starting Rate: $19/HR

Responsibilities

• Making our packaged product displays look beautiful and appealing to customers
• Bringing products from the storage area and filling up the displays following a Planogram
• Updating any seasonal displays/pricing
• Placing product orders
• Executing account-specific initiatives i.e. bookings, end caps, marketing programs
• Recognizing opportunities to add value on each store visit while collaborating with department personnel
• Providing regular merchandising support – maintaining shelves, Planogram changes, Out of Stock correction, freshness, etc.
• Preparing and submitting required reporting daily
