Job summary

La Vie en Rose in Laval is seeking a dedicated stock associate to receive, check, and organize merchandise, and to keep the backstore tidy and efficient for the everyday flow of the store.

You will label prices, prepare transfers to other stores or the distribution centre, stock the sales floor, and provide friendly customer service while following head office policies. This permanent, full-time role offers growth opportunities within a community-focused family business.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to lift heavy merchandise.
• Organized, efficient, methodical, autonomous.
• Experience handling goods is an asset.
• Willing to work holidays and longer hours during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check merchandise and keep the backstore organized.
• Organize receipts and shipments and identify errors.
• Label merchandise with correct prices and adjust as needed.
• Prepare products for transfer to other stores or the distribution centre quickly.
• Place products on the sales floor efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized backstore.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Respect and apply head office policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties to support the team.

WHAT A TYPICAL WORKDAY LOOKS LIKE

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for receiving and checking merchandise, as well as keeping the backstore well organized. In order to perform well

in your role, you will need to:

• Make sure merchandise receipts and shipment orders are properly organized and accounted for while identifying any potential errors;
• Ensure all merchandise is labelled with the right price and correct if necessary;
• Prepare products for transfer to other stores or to the distribution centre as quickly as possible;
• Place products on the sales floor efficiently;
• Maintain a clean and organized backstore;
• Provide excellent customer service;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedure of the various head office departments (don’t worry, we’ll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
