Victoria Cool Aid Society is seeking dedicated staff to support clients who are vulnerably housed or experiencing homelessness. You will advocate for clients, connect them to external resources, and collaborate with a team to provide client-centered support, drawing on experience with diverse backgrounds and multiple barriers.
The role emphasizes completing required checks and First Aid/CPR, and serving at multiple work locations with rotating shifts.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with clients who are currently vulnerably housed or experiencing homelessness, as well as those who have previously experienced housing vulnerability. In this role, you will work collaboratively with your team to advocate for clients and provide them with client-centered support, including connecting them to external resources. To succeed, you will have an excellent understanding of the issues faced by our client group. This includes experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who face multiple barriers, such as substance use, mental health concerns, low incomes, and negative impacts of colonialism and racism.
