Job summary

Fraser Health Authority in Burnaby BC is seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the interprofessional care team. The role provides treatment and care management for individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders, focusing on recovery-oriented, person-centered care.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, administer medications, and advocate for client autonomy while promoting culturally

Qualifications

• Graduation from approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing and current BCCNM registration.
• Two years' recent related experience in mental health/substance use settings.
• Eligible for BC Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with the interprofessional team and develop treatment plans.
• Provide nursing care, administer medications, monitor client status.
• Engage clients using motivational interviewing and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Advocate for client autonomy and coordinate services across settings.
• Document assessments, care plans, observations and outcomes.
• Participate in case conferences and outreach to ensure continuity of care.
