Under the general supervision of a senior position such as a Registered Nurse or Regular Psychiatric Nurse and supporting a multidisciplinary team, the Mental Health and Addictions Rehab Support Worker assists in providing activation and socialization services for mental health patients in the acute care setting. The role includes providing personal care assistance and support services to patients/clients experiencing mental health, addiction, behavioral, and developmental problems.
- Grade 10 and completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program, plus six (6) months recent, related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registered with the BC Care Aide Registry.
