Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking an Activity Aide to enrich residents' lives through engaging programs, supporting wellness across all dimensions, and creating meaningful experiences for seniors in our community. You will plan activities, encourage participation, monitor engagement, and help maintain calendars and newsletters, while ensuring a safe, welcoming space.

A background in recreation, gerontology, or social work, strong communication, and proficiency in Word/Excel are

• Post-secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organized; detail‑oriented; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Previous customer service experience; working with seniors is a strong asset
• Post-secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work, or equivalent experience
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills
• Highly organized; detail‑oriented; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Physical ability to assist with standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
