Job summary

Access Credit Union in Manitoba is seeking a Member Service Representative (MSR) to deliver high standards of financial service to existing and potential members in a branch setting. You will process deposits, withdrawals, loans and payments and promote the credit union's products and services.

The role requires strong communication, a service mindset, and the ability to identify sales opportunities while maintaining accuracy and security in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Business Administration or other post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
• Minimum of 1-year previous experience in customer/member service role.
• Ability to identify and willingness to act upon sales and service opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process over the counter financial services in an efficient and professional manner, referencing appropriate department for complex issues.
• Balance transactions including ATM, night deposits and cash drawer daily.
• Resolve routine problems with member accounts and deposit instruments.
• Adhere to security procedures including safeguarding cash and prevention of fraud.
• Meet requirements for balancing and daily audits within timelines.
• Proactively respond to member inquiries in person, by phone, and email.
• Understand member financial situations to position product value.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and risk management.
