Job summary

Community Savings Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative, is hiring for a full-time, temporary Member Service Representative across Lower Mainland branches. The role involves processing transactions, ATM balancing, cash handling, and assisting with branch campaigns.

The position is in BC, temporary until February 2028, with a comprehensive benefits package and strong emphasis on social purpose and community impact.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of banking procedures and the Relationship Banking System
• Balancing and reconciliation procedures and techniques
• Knowledge of credit union products including ATM, estate accounts and Merchant MasterCard
• Cash handling procedures
• Cross selling techniques
• Treasury, security and safeguarding procedures
• Knowledge of basic spreadsheet or word-processing applications
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to post and balance accurately
• Ability to operate office machines (calculators, adding machines, ATM, fax)

Responsibilities

• Process financial and non-financial transactions using the Banking System and automated cash dispenser
• Balance ATM transactions and perform end-of-day balancing procedures
• Review and balance outages, open/verify night deposits, and remit to CBCU
• Provide central cash service to MSRs on rotating/relief basis
• Balance utilities and process cash-related duties; replenish supplies at counters
• Conduct regular weekly outbound telephone calls and support branch campaigns
