Job summary

Qualifications

• Active registration in good standing with a professional college (e.g. CNO).
• BScN or associated degree required.
• Minimum five (5) years nursing experience in an acute care environment with three (3) years’ supervisory or management experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of hospital or personnel management policies and procedures and the ability to apply them.
• Proven budget management and ability to explain and correct budget variances.
• Contributed to development and control of operating and capital budgets.
• Experience in human resource management and leadership success.
• Ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, patients and the public.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to inter-professional practice and lifelong learning.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards including accreditation.
• Must meet physical demands of the job.
