Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute local action plans aligned with national/regional objectives.
  • Monitor medical product performance in the territory and adapt local strategies.
  • Build brand awareness and generate prescriptions through healthcare professional engagement.
  • Conduct regular field visits and present product characteristics and value to clinicians.
  • Provide samples and professional products to healthcare centers in the territory.
  • Plan initiatives with KOLs, patient associations, dermatologists and other networks.
  • Organize and participate in scientific events across the territory and beyond.
  • Coordinate communications about events, projects, and congresses with dermatologists and GPs.
  • Share field insights with the medical team to support performance.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Sales Representative based in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to build and grow a portfolio within the medical and skincare sector.

You will play a key role in developing relationships with healthcare professionals and increasing awareness and prescription of innovative medical products.

The position combines business development, field sales, medical engagement, public relations, and competitive intelligence.

You will work independently across your territory while collaborating closely with a supportive and ambitious medical team.

The role offers meaningful exposure to dermatologists, pediatricians, general practitioners, key opinion leaders, and other healthcare communities.

You will have the opportunity to organize scientific initiatives, develop influential professional partnerships, and contribute directly to regional and national commercial objectives.

Accountabilities:
  • Business Development: Develop and execute local action plans aligned with national and regional commercial objectives, analyze sales performance, identify opportunities, and implement corrective or growth-oriented actions.
  • Commercial Performance: Regularly monitor the performance of medical product ranges within the assigned territory and adapt local strategies to maximize business development opportunities.
  • Medical Sales: Build brand awareness among targeted medical communities and generate product prescriptions through consistent engagement with healthcare professionals.
  • Customer Visits: Conduct regular field visits with healthcare professionals, presenting product characteristics, benefits, advantages, and patient value propositions.
  • Product Support: Provide samples and professional-sized products to healthcare professionals and major healthcare centers throughout the territory.
  • Professional & PR Engagement: Plan and execute initiatives with key opinion leaders, patient associations, dermatologists, general practitioners, and other relevant healthcare networks to establish strong, lasting partnerships.
  • Key Opinion Leaders: Develop close relationships with influential healthcare professionals and identify high-potential experts who could become speakers or ambassadors at scientific initiatives.
  • Scientific Events: Organize and participate in conferences, congresses, symposiums, and other scientific events across the territory, with occasional participation in events elsewhere in Canada, Europe, or the United States as required.
  • Medical Communications: Coordinate communications with dermatologists, pediatricians, and general practitioners regarding scientific events, projects, congresses, and other professional initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Share relevant field insights and information with the medical team to create synergies and support collective performance.
  • Reporting & Market Intelligence: Maintain regular reporting on field activities, monitor competitors and new product launches, gather feedback from healthcare professionals, and provide actionable competitive intelligence to leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related discipline; a scientific or healthcare-related educational background is also valued.
  • Relevant experience in sales, medical representation, merchandising, skincare, healthcare, or a related field is an asset.
  • Proven ability to prospect for new business, develop customer relationships, and grow a professional client portfolio.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, combined with a customer-focused approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, natural leadership capabilities, and the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital platforms, order-entry software, and standard business applications.
  • Established relationships or a professional network within the spa, medical, skincare, or healthcare community are an asset.
  • Collaborative team player who brings a positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Strong proficiency with computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in French or English depending on the region; bilingualism is considered an asset.
